What is a "Thing Broker"?

Welcome to Jena Galifany's Thing Broker Blog. Allow me to explain what Thing Broker is and where it came from.

In the early 1990s, I worked in a diagnostic blood lab. As part of my job, I would deliver lab reports to the various doctor's offices in the building where we were located. As I would daily make my rounds, office workers would ask me if I knew anyone who had this or that item. It grew to did I know anyone who wanted this or that item. Visiting 14 offices per day, the list of things grew to more than my mind could retain.

I began publishing a newsletter that included happy announcements, a joke, good news, and a listing of items people had for sale or were looking for. Thing Broker was born. It grew from one page to four pages and over the course of the next nine months, the newsletter was delivered once a week to 48 doctor's offices. As payment, I only accepted donations of paper or what ever someone wanted to give me. It saved my sanity and gave me happy work. I truly miss my newsletter.

Thus, I hope to revive Thing broker through this blog. I have recently closed my used book store so I will have many paperback and hardback books offered here. I will add lists of available titles for sale.

As an author, I want to offer ebooks that I will be writing. I will have them available in various formats. I've been published for many years, so I hope that I will be qualified to publish my works myself by now. I will post excerpts for your reading pleasure.

I crochet and will be offering items that are handmade. Purses, Children's Sun Dresses, Pinafores, Blankets, Wristers, Hats, Shrugs, Neck Scarves, and other items will be posted for your consideration. I also do custom work, but that would involve a non-refundable deposit and measurements.

Other items, what ever I happen to come across, will be posted with as full a description as possible.

If anything catches your attention, let me know and we will make arrangements for payment and local pick-up or shipping.

I have an eBay store but I have far too many items to list there. Thus I will list them here.

I hope to hear from you soon. Let me know how I can be of service.

Cheers!
